Rigoletto
Attended a rebroadcast of Verdi's Rigoletto on Saturday. Singing performance, acting, costumes and set design again at the Met's high standards.
Baritone Quinn Kelsey was the tragic jester Rigoletto and soprano Rosa Feola his headstrong daughter, Gilda. Speranza Scappucci conducted. Art Deco style set design by Michael Yeargan. A Bartlett Sher production.
Unfortunately, the set & direction did not help in making some of the plot twists more credible.
